1Northwest Security Services delivers licensed fire watch security across Baker Lake and the surrounding Kivalliq region. Officers are recruited, licensed, and dispatched from within Nunavut — not routed through southern-Canadian call centres.
Overview
Fire Watch Security for Baker Lake Clients
NFPA-compliant fire-watch rounds during sprinkler impairments and hot-work operations — deployed on the ground in Baker Lake.
When a fire suppression system, alarm panel, or standpipe is offline — whether for maintenance, testing, hot-work, or renovation — the fire code in every province and territory requires a dedicated fire watch. Our officers are trained to NFPA 601 standards and carry sealed logbooks accepted by every AHJ we work with.
Fire watch is one of our most requested services during hospital and school retrofits, high-rise sprinkler upgrades, industrial welding operations, and post-fire re-occupancy in NL and PEI.
In Baker Lake specifically, we routinely deploy this service to Meadowbank Gold Mine access, and adapt it to the local geography, weather, and dispatch realities of Kivalliq, Nunavut.
